You just have to admire the marketing team at Paddy Power, as they always manage to think outside of the box when it comes to advertising their online casino, sports betting and bingo sites. There latest publicity stunt took place at one of Britain’s most prestigious music award ceremonies; The Brit Awards.
Paddy Power hired two models to dress up as the French electric music duo; Daft Punk (complete with their trademark robot masks and gloves). However, when they were posing on the red carpet, they ripped off their trousers to reveal a matching pair of green Paddy Power Pants.
Paddy Power quickly tweeted a photograph of their pair alongside the following caption “Here's a #PricelessSurprise at the BRITs. Daft Punk. Up all night to get lucky...PANTS! #BRITs2014” They also posted the below YouTube video of the event.
The real life Daft Punk duo was not present at their award show; however, they did go on to win the best international group award at the ceremony.
