Bodog Site to Lose Poker
It appears that the current revamping of the Bodog online casino site is going to result in one of the classic casino games it offers being dropped.
A message on the website suggests that the new Bodog site is going to ditch the online poker option which it currently offers, as well as sports book betting.
The old site at Bodog.eu has now been closed and the players have been transferred to the online casino’s UK domain. However, those players who were hoping to carry on with some poker action look like being left disappointed.
The official word from Bodog is that they will be “focussing on Asian ex-pats” on the site and that online poker games will not be part of the “initial launch” of the new site which is aimed at UK players.
Players Already Advised
Reports suggest that the gaming firm’s players have already been told of the change and that they have also been offered to take out their money from their accounts if they feel that the online casino is now no longer suitable for them. It remains to be seen whether the loss of the option to play poker is going to have a noticeable effect on the amount of players who use the Bodog UK site.
At the moment the UK facing site has an “improvements coming soon message” on it. The details currently posted confirm that poker and sports book betting are to cease but that live dealer options are to be included, with Asian dealers mentioned as being one of the features to look out for.
