Tivoli Casino Closes in April

One of the longest running online casinos around is to close down, it was recently announced.

The popular Tivoli casino is going to stop running games for international customers, although it will continue with operations in its homeland of Denmark.

The land-based Tivoli Casino has been running since 1843 and started up its internet site back in 2014.

Tivoli Casino is based in Denmark, taking its name from the world famous Tivoli Gardens entertainment park where it is located. The land-based casino is still highly popular and will continue to operate even when the internet version stops running.

The closure announcement was made by Martin Lerby, who is the general manager at Tivoli Casino. He said that they regretted to inform that the site will “cease operations during April 2016”. Lerby went on to confirm that that their plan is to close the thing down in a “controlled and professional way”.

He said that all due affiliate commissions will be paid for players referred to them while the site carries on live.

As well as the land-based casino, it is believed that the Danish version of the online casino will also carry on being available to Danish residents looking for a few games on the internet.

It isn’t clear the exact date that the international site will close or the precise reason for this closure.
