Betfred Starts Mobile Lottery Service

The popular online gaming site Betfred has just moved to give their customers an extra way to enjoy their wagers. It is a brand new service which allows players to take part in lotteries from their phones and mobile devices.

The new mobile service from Betfred will include the Irish Lotto among the 9 different lotteries which are included in it. Even better news is the fact that lottery results can now be checked on a mobile phone and that there is no download needed.

Chris Sheffield is the managing director of Betfred and he said that by the end of 2012 he expected a staggering 50% of all wagers to be carried out using by people using a mobile device. He went on to say that the company had wanted to develop a lottery service which was “quick to access and easy to use”.

Better Odds than Playing Directly

The new service is claimed to give better odds of winning on the lottery than by placing a bet directly on it. Mr Sheffield went on to say that they had their “fingers crossed” for some big winners who take advantage of the mobile product’s “great odds”.

The phone app which is needed to take advantage of this mobile lottery service can be used on both iPhone and Android devices. The firm already has a comprehensive sports betting app which has proven to be extremely popular with their members.
