Florida Nurse Wins Mega Jackpot

A nurse who lives in the Boca Raton area of Florida scooped an amazing jackpot in Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The winnings added up to well over a million dollars for the lucky lady, who has asked to remain anonymous.

Her life changing win happened in the evening of the 16th of March and the exact jackpot was a stunning $1,108,096. It happened on one of the casino’s progressive slot machines, called Megabucks. The machine has a minimum wager requirement of $3 in order for the player to aim for the jackpot.

An Exciting Buzz Created by the Win

The president of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek is called Steve Bonner and he talked about the “exciting buzz” which a big jackpot win creates. He also pointed out that the casino is known as “Florida’s Jackpot Capital for a good reason. Their giant premises include over 2,300 slots machines and cover an incredible 100,000 square feet of gaming space.

One final interesting point about the massive win is that the Megabucks slot machine is what is known as a wide area progressive. In fact, it was the first of these which was ever put into operation, back in 1986. This type of slot sends out a report to all of the other machines in the area to reset their jackpots once someone scoops the main prize on one of the machines. Since Megabucks was started over 25 years ago they have paid out over $1 billion in prize money.
