Online games developer Playtech has revealed that it will be taking on around 300 new staff by the end of 2015.
The gaming giant needs these new bodies in order to handle the growth plans it has in place. These include some big multi channels projects in the UK as well as in other markets.
The staff numbers at Playtech have already grown by 20% in the last year or so, at the firm has taken on over 600 new employees in that time. This is largely due to the success that the Playtech ONE omni-channel department has had recently.
At the moment Playtech uses a workforce or around 4,000 to provide games and platforms to many of the top internet casino sites. Sources say that they need new bodies to handle what they call “significant” global contracts that haven't yet been announced.
What we do know is that most of the new staff will be deployed in the company's sports betting arm. This is regarded as being a key element of Playtech ONE and is the product seeing the most rapid growth rates. Online netting heavyweights such as Ladbrokes and Coral have started used the Playtech omni-channel solutions recently.
Mor Weizer is the CEO of Playtech and he said that their cutting edge technology allows for a seamless online wagering experience with a single wallet and just one account across different channels. Coral Connect is one example of how this technology has been used to good effect already.
