Ye Olde English casino Planned for Las Vegas strip

Not a week goes these days that see no mention of the Royal Family, or just British goings-on in general, appear in national press. This week something peaked my interest too as Las Vegas developers announced a brand new British themed casino would soon open its doors.

The new establishment, mooted to be ‘Ye Olde English Casino’, will reportedly include private tables shielded by authentic London black cabs. Gamblers could also encounter waitresses dressed as British bobbies (that’s a police officer to American readers), good old English ale, pie and mash and other assorted British refreshments.

Sandy Martinez, a local Las Vegas official, was understandably enthusiastic regarding the announcement. She said, “Everyone loves your Royal Family and the polite nature of the people, so this is a project which is way overdue. Many other nationalities are already represented here.”

The new casino will certainly standout amongst the sea of brightly lit casinos on the strip. Details on the new venue are still a little sketchy, but the developers are reportedly pumping over 650 million Dollars into the project.
