Online Gambling Now Legal in New Jersey

New Jersey has become the third state in America to legalise online gambling after Delaware and Nevada. It has caused much debate, mainly due to the fact that Atlantic City is based in New Jersey.

Atlantic City has seen its revenue drop by almost 40% since its peak in 2006, and land based casino owners are torn over whether this will end up costing them money by them losing their customers to online sites, or if they should jump on the bandwagon and create their own online sites.

At this moment in time, the online gaming sites based in New Jersey will only be able to sign up players that live in the state; however, in the future we do not know what will happen with American online gaming regulations, and it could be that they will be able to sign up players from all legalised online gambling states.

The first couple of online gaming sites only want live last week, so we will have to wait and see if they become a hit with the residents of New Jersey.
