Casino Player Caught Using Infrared Contact Lenses
With the introduction of closed security cameras in casinos it has made it harder for gambling cheats to get away with counting cards and marking cards; however, that didn’t stop Bruce Koloshi from New Jersey with coming up with his own card marking scheme.
Mr Koloshi was playing poker at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut on Sunday the 15th of September, when security staff recognised him from their bulletin of ‘known card’ cheats. They reviewed video footage of Mr Koloshi playing Poker, and could very clearly see that he was marking cards. This lead to Mr Koloshi being arrested by police at around 1.55am on Sunday morning.
When interviewed by the police he admitted that he had been marking cards with luminous ink that is invisible to the naked eye; however, as was wearing a pair of infrared contact lenses under his sunglasses he could see the ink as he played.
The story gets more interesting though, as Mr Koloshi said he was marking cards to raise money for a bond for a cheating arrest in Louisiana. Because of his previous criminal record Koloshi has been charged with cheating, conspiracy to commit larceny, criminal impersonation and also being a fugitive from justice.
