Over 200000 Stolen in Casino Hotel Rolex Heist
The Borgata Casino in Atlantic City hit the headlines this week when their ‘Jewels’ jewellery shop was a victim of a smash and grab theft. The robbery took place at around 8.45pm on Monday the 1st of July.
The crafty thieves didn’t just walk away with a couple of pieces of jewellery though, but rather $200,000 (£132,000) worth of Rolex watches. One member of staff was on duty when the robbery took place; however, luckily nobody was injured during the robbery. Police are still hunting for three men and one getaway driver in relation to the crime.
The Borgata Casino originally opened its doors on the 2nd of July 2003, and is currently in the middle of celebrating their tenth anniversary.
