William Hill Pays Out on Incredible Accumulator Bet

It isn’t often that you can turn a few pounds into a few thousand pounds but that it exactly what a UK gambler did recently.

The lucky chap decided not to allow his name to be revealed to the public but we know that he won big after placing a small wager with William Hill. He laid down just under £16 and ended up winning a grand total of £209,731 in a series of amazing accumulator bets.

The most interesting part of the gamble was the 2p he put on a series of 8 different horses all coming in with a top 4 finish in 8 different races. The horses duly obliged and this part of the bet brought him in £111,294 of his overall total.

The winner said that he while he has had big wins in the past he “never expected this”. He now plans to let it all sink in for a few days before deciding how to spend the money. However, it looks like he will be paying off his mortgage any maybe buying a vintage sports car with the cash.

The odds against him winning all of his different accumulators has been given as 11,000,000 to 1. Kate Miller is a spokesperson for William Hill and she said that this is one of the “luckiest bets” the firm has ever seen. She went on to say that accumulator wagers are “incredibly popular” and that they see a large winner on them usually a couple of times a year.
