US Casino Players Would Welcome Internet Casino Sites

The gambling restrictions which are in place in most US states have long been a source of some controversy. Now a survey has revealed that online gambling could be a huge success in the States if it ever gets the go ahead.

The poll was carried out by AlixPartners and one of the headline figures is that 35% of all punters who currently wager would probably do the same on the internet as well if they could.

 A little over 1000 adults from the US took part in the survey at the end of January and they were chosen due to being interested in betting in one way or another. The questions asked of them covered subjects such as land based casinos, internet casinos, horse racing and lotteries.

Keep on Going to the Local Casino    

An interesting statistic comes from the fact that a mere 15% of current casino players would cut down on the number of visits they make to land based casinos if they started playing casino games on the internet as well.

57% of the people surveyed said that they would be more likely to have a flutter on the internet if the sites were run by casino brands which they already knew. 58% then said that they like the idea of gaining loyalty points online which they could then redeem in their favourite land based casinos.

The order of importance for the five factors relevant to choosing an internet casino were given as; how easy it is to register, how easy it is to use the site, whether or not there is a lot of waiting around, the amount of options at the right wagering level and the security of the financial elements of the site.
