Vietnamese Casino Bus Busted

If you are still finding it tough to decide between using an online casino and going to a land based one then you’ll probably be thankful that a public transport casino isn’t an option to make it even tougher to choose.

The idea of a casino running inside a bus might seem ludicrous but it is exactly what police in Vietnam recently found when they carried out what we believe is still called “a bust”.

It seems that the local authorities started to wonder what the bus was doing when it spent a lot of time parked in a residential part of town in the Northern Vietnam province of Ha Tinh. Well, they probably wouldn’t have guessed that inside it punters were getting down to some serious roulette and blackjack.

12 Arrests Made

Once the police arrived on the scene they saw that an operational casino was up and running inside the bus. They arrested a 32 year old man, Le Anh Thong, who was the person who ran the bus based casino. 11 punters who were unlucky enough to be there at the time were also arrested. As well as this there were some drugs, mobile phones, a couple of guns and almost $5,000 in cash while took away with them.

It seems that the owner of the casino had come up with the ingenious idea of taking out 45 seats from the interior and turning it into a place where the locals could gamble illegally. He said that he moved it on a regular basis to avoid raising suspicions but it wasn’t enough to stop the law catching up with him in the end.
