Battlestar Galactica to Hit Online Casinos

Word has just come out that we can expect to find an online casino game based around the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica before too long.

The licence to make the game has been secured by the internet games developer Microgaming following discussions with NBC Universal Television Consumer Products.

We can look forward to trying to escape the clutches of the Cylon by the end of this year. If you aren’t familiar with the show then it is about the exploits of a civilisation of human beings who live in a far away galaxy called the Twelve Colonies and who need to fight against the aforementioned Cylon.  The show has been hugely popular and critically acclaimed and it clearly offers a lot of scope for building an exciting game around it.

Light Years Ahead of the Pack

Roger Raatgever is the CEO of Microgaming and he said that they are “thrilled” to be able to create video slots which are “light years” ahead of those created by their rivals and are based on one of the “best television programmes” around right now.

He went on to say that they will do “justice” to the Battlestar Galactica name with their new game and want to please both their existing players and also fans of the TV show.

Christopher Lucero is the Director of Global Consumer Products for NBC Universal Television and he said that they are “very happy” to partner Microgaming on the project. He is confident that the online casino games developer will be able to “capture all of the action” of the series.
