Still Time to Vote on the British Poker Awards
The British Poker Awards are coming to the UK in September as part of the London Poker Festival and voting is now open.
The categories include Poker Personality of the Year, Best Tournament Player, Best Online Player and Best Cash Player. The general public will decide who wins each prize and the organisers have stated that thousands of votes have already flooded in.
If you want to make your voice heard that you can do so on the www.thebritishpokerawards.com site. Voting will remain open until the middle of September.
The nominated poker personalities have had their names put forward by a panel made up of the likes of Pokernews.com, Bluff Europe, Pokerlistings.com, Jesse May and PokerStrategy.com.
The awards ceremony will take place on the 17th of September on board the HMS President in London. Tickets can still be bought online for the price of £20 from www.thebritishpokerawards.eventbrite.co.uk.
Another One for the Mantelpiece?
Neil Channing is a former winner at this event and he said that he hopes that the day will be the “highlight of my month”. He said that his mantelpiece is already creaking a little and that it might be put under more pressure after the British Poker Awards are finished.
Antonio Esfandiari is an American pro player and previously presented the British Poker Awards. He said that it is a “great way” to bring in all of the players and celebrate triumphs. By casting your vote you can try to make sure that your favourite player or personality gets the recognition that you feel they deserve.
