The Build Up to the London Poker Festival
With the London Poker Festival just around the corner some of the big name professionals in the game are already looking forward to it.
The event kicks off in September and will include more than 59 different events, with 8 of them being classed as being major ones. One of the big ones to looks out is, of course, the British Poker awards, although there are alternatives such as comedy nights as well.
Players from around the world who are due to fly in include the ex World Champion Scotty Nguyen and the One Drop Champion Antonio Esfandiari. The former Irish Open Champion Neil Channing has also been speaking out about the festival.
The Poker Academy
Channing will be getting involved through a Poker Academy which is being run by his BlackBeltPoker.com site. This will be happening on Saturday the 8th of September at the Genting Cromwell Mint Casino.
He said that he is looking forward to a “crazy September” filled with all of these poker tournaments and shows in the UK capital. He has taken a break in order to be fully ready for it and he said that anyone who isn’t ready for the “barrage off three and four bets” might need to take advantage of their academy. He said that it has been designed with the aim of helping “old guys like me” fight off the challenger for younger players.
The main topic to be handled at the BlackBeltPoker Academy is called “Pre flop Aggro: How to Beat the Kids at Their Own Game”. It costs £99 and you can expect 6 hours of training and professionally run workshops.
