Maltese Poker Problems and a Police Raid in Thailand
There are many online casino sites which use the excellent Microgaming software but right now there is one less than there used to.
The 5050 Poker Limited site is based on Malta but its license for being part of the Microgaming Poker Network has been suspended for the time being. The reason for this has been cited as a “material breach of contract”. It seems that the poker sites director’s have been aware of this issue since the 14th of June but it isn’t yet clear when normal service will be resumed.
The latest statement to be released by Microgaming says that the 5050 Poker site can resume using their software as soon as “the breach is satisfactorily rectified”. The Maltese based poker operator has used the poker playing software from Microgaming since back in
2009.

The centre was run on behalf of the online sports betting firm SBObet and reports of its closure surfaced in the local newspaper The Pattaya Daily News. They interviewed Lt Cnl Sutin Suandokmai and he revealed that the raid happened in the Butsarakam Village area, which isn’t far from Bangkok. 4 people were arrested and computers were taken away as evidence.
A woman who has been held by police admitted that she had paid out $155,000 to try to get the sports betting operation up and running in time for the Euro 2012 footy games.
