Microgaming Announce True Value

A new poker product is about to be launched on the Microgaming Poker Network. It is going to be called True Value and it is a rake product which will bring a new method of calculating the rake to online gaming.

The launch date for True Value is the 1st of July and it will give each of the online poker firms who use it a player rake which takes into account things like the volume of wagers, activity and the amount of wins and losses achieved. This is a step forward from current rake methods, which only take into account value. The higher value it allocates to players means that the casino sites can earn more by holding onto their players.

Dual Layer Method Used

The system will work using a clever dual layer method. This means that one type of rake will be layered on top of another all the time, with data being analysed in the background to keep it constantly up to date. This means that it is always bang up to the minute but that it is a completely seamless experience for the player.

Lydia Melton is the Head of Poker Network Games at Microgaming and she said that what sets their new True Value product apart from the rival ones which are already other out there is the dual layer system we just mentioned. She pointed out that this does not “impact the players” and that any rake based promotions such as site bonuses will work on True Value in the same way as on the site’s exciting way of running poker games.
