Two New Slots and a Hindu Backlash

The new “Fast Lane” game from Rival Gaming promises to bring us some good old fashioned slots action along with an exciting NASCAR theme.

It is a 5 reel video slot which offers 50 paylines and a whole bunch of features. Fast Lane has expanding wilds, big jackpots, free spins and a bonus screen which involves a pit stop which you need to get finished as soon as possible. It is now up and running on a number of the online casino sites which use Rival Gaming software.

A Hindu Theme

Another new casino game has also been released by the developer Playtech. This one is called Laksmi Gold and it has caused a bit of a stir already.

The game is a 5 reel video slots game with 25 paylines. It has an Indian theme and offers top features such as wild symbols, scatters and free spins. The problem have come about because some Hindus have objected to the imagery used.

These include images of Lord Ganesh and the Goddess Laksmi along with shrines, temples and other religious imagery. The fact that this is tied up with an internet casino has led to calls for the game to be taken offline.

Rajan Zed spoke on behalf of the Universal Society of Hinduism and said that the game should be removed from casino sites because the Hindu gods should be worshipped and not used for “mercantile greed”. No official response has been released by Playtech yet but if you like the sound of the game then you would probably be best giving it a try sooner rather than later.
